Able Types specializes in lower-volume and complex mailings, that are best done by hand. We do regular mailings for many businesses, schools and colleges, clubs and societies.

Our breadth of experience enables us to offer advice and support to clients throughout the process to ensure that their marketing campaign or regular mailing is successful.

We can:

• handle from 100 to 12,000 items
• print addresses, return addresses and Postage Paid Impressions onto envelopes. Our Rena DA613 inkjet envelope printer can print 4,000 items an hour
• mail-merge data onto letters, flyers, questionnaires
• print A3 and double-sided items
• laser print and apply labels
• collate, fold, match and insert into envelopes or PVC
• accept data on disk or by email
• supply paper and envelopes at competitive prices

Local collection and delivery service available at nominal rates.

UK postage is charged at Royal Mail rates, whilst we have a range of international postal and parcel services at competitive rates. For larger UK mailing we can also offer you Mailsort discounts .

Able Types is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998. We guarantee your data will be treated as confidential and will be used only for the purpose you specify. All data will be destroyed after use unless specifically requested.

For example, Able Types handles the bimonthly mailing of London Cycling Campaign’s magazine London Cycling, borough newsletters and assorted advertising and event flyers using the discounted Presstream service. The London Cycling Campaign is a consortium of borough groups, many of which produce their own newsletter, in differing weights and style, to be included in the general mailout. Unfortunately, London boroughs do not follow the same boundaries as postcodes, and a postcode is frequently split between more than one borough. To complicate matters further, some members live in one borough but request delivery to another, where they work.

We devised a process to ensure that each address was printed with both a borough and Presstream sortation code; that the correct borough newsletter was inserted into the appropriate envelope and then the batches of envelopes were combined for sacking up to Presstream specifications. This type of job requires manual insertion and strict control - aspects at which Able Types excel.
