For many years, Able Types has been involved with local industry and print finishers carrying out light, skilled assembly style work.
Many of these tasks involve finishing high margin pieces that depend upon attention to detail, high skill and quality control. For example, Able Types has been working with Vicon Motion Systems for several years. Vicon has developed technology to capture three-dimensional motion through a group of video cameras and use the resulting data mainly in the fields of medicine and entertainment.
At the heart of the technology are the reflective markers attached to the person being videoed. Able Types' staff cover these miniature foam or plastic spheres with minute strips of reflective tape and then heat and roll them to ensure that the balls are perfectly spherical
Our highly adaptable staff also have experience of completing print finishing tasks such as
- adding errata slips,
- overlabelling journals to update address details,
- collation and despatch of delegate materials for conferences,
- collation of information for exhibition displays or simply
- preparing consumer kits.
